Birth of Pierre Victor Malouet
Pierre Victor Malouet, a colonial administrator and conservative deputy, was born in Riom on 11 February 1740. In the assembly that drafted France's first written constitution, he led the monarchiens, deputies who favoured a strong constitutional monarchy.
